Who Am I

I was born in Cologne, Germany (Euskirchen) in February 1978. I lived in Istanbul for 30 years. I first studied Environmental Engineering at Yildiz Technical University, then went to Bogazici University to study Environmental Technologies at the Institute of Environmental Sciences. However, I didn’t finish my master thesis. I have been interested in photography for many years, but started to deal with it in a more well-arranged way in year 2008. In April 2008, I went to Muammer Yanmaz’s photography course. I completed beginner and advanced courses in year 2008.

I have been shooting since that time. First years, I used to carry my camera bag in a daily basis to everywhere. After some time I got used to my equipment and I also starting figuring out what type of photography excited me: Street photography and wide angle usages. So I modified my equipment accordingly. I minimized my bag in time and at last nearly was using only one lens, Canon 17-40mm f/4, for a very long time. I would love to use Canon 16-35mm f/2.8, however it was nearly triple the price. I just checked while writing this and it is still the same. After a trip to Paris, I sold my equipment because it was still too big to get into the photos that I want. Nowadays, I am taking photos with my IPhone 7 and saving money for a Leica M or likewise.

Hope you enjoy my posts and waiting forward to hear from you.

Cheers

Bulent
